Siimpel's first generation MEMS provides high precision motion control that is seamlessly integrated with a slim electromagnetic actuator. This enables high precision control of a moving lens barrel to provide auto focus functionality. It also provides for highly repeatable shutter enabling image quality comparable with stand-alone DSC (digital still camera).

Siimpel's second generation MEMS design combines low power actuation and precision motion control in a single silicon chip. This eliminates all the added complexity of a separate actuator and brings the promise of wafer level actuation to reality. Our second generation MEMS product enables both auto focus and shutter capability within a camera module size unmatched by other technologies or approaches.
